At around Thanksgiving time. Mitzy's teacher Mrs. Hancey
was diagnosed with breast cancer. They held a walk-a-thon for her and
raised some money to help her with her medical bills. Here she is cutting
the pink ribbon to start the walk-a-thon. Because of radiation and
chemo therapy shewas unable to keep teaching. She is looking
forward to teaching next year though.
Mrs. Hancey's husband is on the fire department in Ivins.
At the walk-a-thon the fire department dressed up some
of the kids in firemen uniforms and police uniforms.
this is Jacob in a fireman uniform.
Each year we have an egg hunt at the Bowler's
house in Ivins. Here are some of the kids
getting ready to hunt eggs.
Here is Sariah with all the eggs she found that day.
Here is a wonderful idea a friend gave me
for egg hunts have the kids hunt with egg cartons then it is fair
and each kid ends up with 12 eggs. We did this
for all of our egg hunts this year and it worked great.

For Jacob's kindergarten class we took them to the farm
across from the school. When we got there a bunch of
baby pigs were born the night before. So we got to see them.
We couldn't get to close because if the mama pig got scared at all
she would have jumped up and squashed her piglets.

entering the art competition at school.
Jacob won first place so he won a trophy.
Becca won second so she won a medal to hang around
her neck. Mitzy won a participation award.
They also each got a free meal at Golden Corral
and free icecreams at Dairy Queen.
