Christmas

First I want to tell you what has been going on lately.
Three weeks ago the bishop called us in and wants
me of all people to be the new primary president.
Last week in church they sustained me, and boy has it
been crazy ever since. Primary activity had to be
planned in a few days. Thanks to a really good couselor I have
I didn't have to worry much about it. The primary performs
at the ward Christmas party on Saturday, then sings in
Church on Sunday. And with Christmas on top of it all.
I am going to sleep next month that is for sure--for the entire month.

The kids decorated almost this entire tree, and
I think they did a wonderful job.

I set up a village nativity of precious moments each year.

It barely fits on top of the computer desk. Sariah kept
putting the sheep in her mouth last year, because we
had it down lower on a different shelf, and I was
really scared she would swallow one--this year
we put the village up higher.Add Image
We hope everyone has a happy holiday season this year.

Fall Fun!

The leaves fell all at once off the tree one windy night.

Kids love leaves just as much as snow.

They couldn't rake so they picked them up with their hands and made a pile.

After that they burried each other in them. I think there is a kid under there.

Thanksgiving was great. We had my sister, Aunt Roxy,
and Bruce's parent's over.

Everything turned out yummy this time and surprisingly......

Nothing went wrong with the food. We had a grand time.

LIFE FLIGHT HELICOPTER

Each year they hold here what is called the jubilee of trees.
They have been auctioning them off for the past few years so
they can earn enough money to get a life flight here for St. George.
Every School in Washington County donates a tree to be auctioned,
and they had people vote for their favorite school tree. Our tree won
and so for a prize we got the life flight helicopter to come and land at the
kids school it was awesome and the kids loved it.
It did a complete circle around the school.

It's getting closer.

here it comes.

Here it is starting to lower

and down, down, down, and all the kids started
screaming and yelling here they were so excited.

If you look at the top of this picture you can see the leaves flying from
the wind produced by the blades.

You can see more leaves flying here also.

Just about to touch down. And at this point the
screaming got louder and louder.

Here is Becca walking away after looking at it.
Each and every student got to go up to the helicopter.
What made it really special was some of the kids
at Red mountain knew some of the people flying it
because they were transported by fixed wing aircraft
for treatment in Salt Lake City.

This is the principle of the school and her name is Betty Barnum.
She is an awesome principle. And the kids just love her.

Here is Mitzy She is standing by a pilot--The guy in the red coat.

They said goodbye and up they go.

up, up ,up

and away.

Goodbye life flight and thanks bunches for coming to our school.
As it took off it circled the school once then shot across the sky and it was gone
within a matter of seconds. It flew faster than I thought it did. This helicopter
is currently on loan to us from SLC until St. George gets their own, hopefully next year.

FIRE FUN!!!!

Bonfire!!!!

We went out to Scenic Arizona for Grandma Briscoe's Birthday
I cannot remember which one but she is 97 or 98 yrs old.
Bruce's parents had done a lot of cleanup on their property
And had a lot of wood to burn as well as rolls of carpet.
They lit it and boy was it hot. I didn't get any pictures before though
and I wish I had. Just to give you a hint of how high the pile was
It was taller than my home. The above picture the kids are throwing
wooden sticks into the fire to watch them burn.
You can see Bruce's parents home really well from
Mesquite-especially from the freeway. They sent out the fire department
and his parents had already called them and told them there would be a
really large fire out at their home. I guess they thought that the fire was to big-
so they sent out firefighters and policemen to make sure that it didn't get out of hand.
This above picture we are eating our hot dogs.
This was also just as wide as my home if not wider. This is after it had burned down quite a bit-so we broke out
the hotdogs, salads, pop and marshmellows and did some roasting.

We all had so much fun, Some of Bruce's cousins came that
we hadn't seen in forever and they had some of their kids with them.

We will definately have to do that again

This picture we had to make a smaller fire by the
big one because the big one was too hot to roast by.
I think there were a few people who got some eyelashes
and hair fried. When they first lit the fire. I was standing 50 feet
away and I could still feel the heat.
I added this picture for fun. We had a baby shower here at
my house and one of the games included stuffing a pillow up
your shirt and acting like you were pregnant, ever since then
when the kids see a balloon they stuff it up their shirts. Sariah in
this picture looks just really funny especially with Sariah having
the beads around her neck.

Husband's dream

Since my husband is a mechanic his dream has been
to fix up this car he got as a graduation gift from his Dad.
It is a 1941 Plymouth
This is his baby. And it runs off the original engine.
Bruce painted it in high school as part of an automotive class
he took. Ever since then he hasn't had much time to deal with it.
He has now sand blasted it, received all new windows for it, and
it currently is at a guys home who does body work. He is trading the
body work by working on this guys car. Hopefully he can get it back
to partially normal soon, and then he can put it in car shows, which is
a dream of his. I pray everyday we can somehow come up with the
money so he can restore it, and little by little things come up so it will
get to where he wants it to be.

Halloween was fun but we didn't have as fun this year.
Bruce's uncle passed away in Idaho so he went to the funeral
and took Jacob with him. Me and the girls went to Enoch and stayed
with my sister Denise.

Becca was Hannah Montana

Mitzy was Gabriella from High School Musical

Sariah was Santa's helper

This is with her cousin Rachael who was a lady bug.

Sariah watching t.v and waiting to go trick or treating.

Jacob was Superman these were taken at his
preschool just before he left for Idaho.

This is Mitzy, Becca, Cousin Amie(little blue riding hood),
and Cousin Cecellia(Cinderella).

day and this is what she did when I caught her.
What a cutie--I couldn't get mad at her.

EWWWWWWWWW

The kids like to take off their Shirts while carving pumpkins

Sariah was wondering why I was telling her to make a mess.
Jacob didn't dare at first but then thought it was cool

Mitzy had way to much fun.

End result 6 pumpkins carved.

Jacob's birthday

Jacob had a bug themed 5th birthday!
This was my first attempt to decorate a cake
I think he turned out okay for my first time.
The cake started to fall apart because he was
so massive. He blew out his candles on the second try.

We had a pinata- I made this and I think he turned out
pretty cute.

Jake loves thomas and one of his friends gave him a
thomas reader book.

We had bug cupcakes--The bugs are plastic.
We ran out of springles and had to use
sugar sprinkles on the rest of them.

He got some more Thomas trains from Mom and Dad

This is what he got from his Grandpa in Idaho.
It is a table with a drawer underneath to hold
all of his trains. Wonderful for mom and it fits
in his room. He loved his birthday.
